These doors and windows were my first project during my apprenticeship in Nonsan, South Korea. Over 30 pieces were to be built for the interior and exterior of a newly built traditional Korean home, or hanok. They were made from Red Pine and there was no hardware used in the construction. The more decorative doors were made for the interior and rice paper, or hanji, was applied to the back. The other doors and windows were for the exterior and had glass or a screen material installed.
